All of us want to look fit and have a tight tummy. Having babies, growing older, and our sedentary lifestyle all contribute to a loose often flabby tummy. New laser liposuction technology has made it possible to have a laser body sculpting procedure which can tighten and cut the abdomen to a firm looking tummy.

Laser body sculpting is new, and you need to find an expert who uses the best laser liposuction machine for laser body sculpting. All laser liposuction machines are not the same, so you need to do your homework.

What Is Laser Body Sculpting?

The term body sculpting has been used to describe plastic surgery procedures which modify the shape of the human body to improve body contour and shape. Laser body sculpting utilizes the fat dissolving and skin tightening abilities of laser energy to change and improve body contour and shape without the large scars seen after surgical tummy tuck and other body contouring operations.

Laser body sculpting is very different from liposculpting or liposculpture, terms used to describe body sculpting using traditional liposuction techniques.

Why is Laser Body Sculpting Better?

Unlike traditional plastic surgery body sculpting laser body sculpting is done with a tiny laser fiber instead of a large surgical incision which leaves noticeable scars. Unlike traditional liposculpting or liposculpture with liposuction alone, laser body sculpting does not leave loose skin and contour deformities when the laser procedure is done properly.

After laser body sculpting, you will not have large visible scars and a prolonged, often painful, surgical recovery. The tiny incisions used in laser body sculpting are placed in hidden areas such as the belly button or umbilicus. These tiny incisions for the laser body sculpting fiber are about ¼ inch long.

Another major advantage of laser body sculpting is that the tiny laser fiber can reach areas of the body to melt fat and tighten skin in areas that traditional plastic surgery body sculpting just can’t reach. For example, a mini tummy tuck can tighten the lower tummy but cannot remove fat and tighten skin in the upper abdomen above the belly button or umbilicus. The laser body sculpting laser fiber can easily be passed into the upper abdomen and the area around the belly button to melt fat and tighten skin.

Advantages of laser body Sculpting

Based on my experience and in my opinion, the advantages of laser body sculpting are:

•	No large surgical scars
•	Skin tightening as well as fat removal
•	Smoother skin
•	Less traumatic
•	Quicker recovery
•	Better Results

What Is Laser Liposuction?

Laser liposuction is a technique in which a small laser fiber is used to melt fat before removing the fat by suction. Because the fat beneath the skin is first liquefied, fat removal by suction is much easier and less traumatic. In addition, the heat from the laser tightens the skin, so loose skin is not left behind after laser liposuction as is often the case with traditional liposuction. In addition, my laser liposuction results so far show smoother skin with fewer wavy lines, lumps and bumps, called contour deformities, than with traditional liposuction.

Which Laser Wavelength is best for Laser Body Sculpting?

The 924nm laser wavelength is the most highly absorbed laser wavelength by fat. Higher absorption means better fat liquefaction for many technical reasons. Other laser wavelengths are used for laser liposuction, including 1064nm, 1308nm and others.

My choice for laser liposuction is the 924nm laser wavelength used in the SlimLipo(TM) technique which uses the Aspire SlimLipo(TM) laser liposuction machine. My choice is based on sound scientific laser principles and the spectacular results I have achieved using the SlimLipo(TM) laser liposuction technique.

Laser body sculpting is a new term used to describe fat removal and skin tightening achieved with the new laser liposuction technique. I use the new Aspire® SlimLipo® laser liposuction machine made by Palomar Medical in <st1 w:st="on"></st1><st1 w:st="on">Burlington</st1>, <st1 w:st="on">Massachusetts</st1> to perform laser body sculpting. The results I have achieved using the SlimLipo® laser body sculpting technique have been very exciting.<o>
</o>

Body Contouring
The term “body contouring” has been use in Plastic Surgery to refer to procedures designed to improve the general appearance of the body shape. Traditionally body contouring has been used to describe breast augmentation, tummy tuck, thigh and buttock lift and arm lift and other surgical procedures. The problem for many people is the scarring associated with surgery as in the tummy tuck.<o>
</o>

Liposuction-Liposculpture
With the advent and popularization of liposuction, the term body sculpting or liposculpture was used to describe the use of liposuction to improve body contour with the use of liposuction as opposed to surgical procedures which required skin removal.<o>
</o>

True Laser Body Sculpting-Laser Liposculpture
While I have been reluctant to use the term body sculpture to describe some of the results achieved with traditional liposuction, the results I am achieving with the new Aspire® SlimLipo® laser liposuction unit are truly refined and worthy of the use of the term laser body sculpting.<o>
</o>

Notice in the pictures below the appearance of the “six pack” area of the abdomen of the patient. Also notice how the waist has been sculpted by melting fat and tightening the skin. Using the SlimLipo® procedure I was able to melt fat and tighten skin so that the contour of the abdominal muscles is clearly seen after the procedure. This type of result was impossible using traditional liposuction and or abdominoplasty surgery. The term laser body sculpting certainly is appropriate in this case.

Above-Before (left) and after (right) laser body sculpture of abdomen

I am achieving truly remarkable laser body sculpting results with the new Slimlipo® laser fat melting, skin tightening laser liposuction unit. Laser body sculpting is possible on the neck, waist, abdomen, thighs, hips, buttocks, arms, and other body areas where excess fat and or loose skin is troubling you.<o>
