Marionette Lines-How the Liquid Face Lift Removes Jowls and Mouth Lines

Marionette Lines, Nose to Mouth Lines and Jowls

Are you beginning to see lines around your mouth and early jowls along your jaw line? These lines below the mouth are called Marionette Lines because they resemble the line which allows a Marionette or puppet mouth to open and close. They are an early sign of facial aging and if allowed to continue to develop can create jowls and loose skin along the jaw line.

The Liquid Facelift

Traditionally a facelift was required to remove jowls and marionette lines but an exciting new soft tissue filler technique called the Liquid Face Lift can dramatically improve marionette Lines, nasal labial fold lines, jowls and even lift the cheek. Results of the liquid face lift can be dramatic-see photo below:

We use different semi liquid fillers, called soft tissue fillers, to inject into the depressions and hollow areas of the face. The result is a plump youthful looking face with fewer lines.

The fillers used are Radiesse™, Restylane™, Perlane™, Juvederm™ and others. Skill and expertise is required for a good result so be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in the liquid face lift.

Traditional Facelift

Some patients, especially those with a lot of sagging neck skin or double chin may still need a face and neck lift. Beautiful results can be achieved with a properly done face lift and neck lift-see photos below:
