No controlled clinical studies have documented removal of stretch marks following Fraxel treatment to my knowledge.
One doctor in New Jersey-Dr Bob Adrian has shown nice improvement in the appearance of stretch marks with the Fraxel. The stretch marks appear whiter and thinner, less red but are still present and not removed.
I have also seen some improvement in stretch marks after skin tightening of the abdomen using the LuxIR skin-tightening machine.
However these results are anecdotal-not proven science.
My recommendation is that you ask your doctor how many patients with stretch marks he/she has treated with the Fraxel and to show you pictures of the results. Ask what happens if you don’t get a result.
