Dear Dr. Seckel, I want to have breast implants but am uncertain whether to have breast augmentation with Silicone breast implants or Saline breast implants. I live in Boston and the surgeon I saw does not use the Silicone breast implants. Are there safety issues? I hear the Silicone implants feel more natural. Silicone breast implants have recently been approved for use by the FDA and many patients are choosing to have the Silicone implants because of the more natural feeling after placement of the implant. Dear Dr. Seckel, What is the best treatment for dark circles under the eyes? I am 24 years old and have had dark circles under my eyes all of my life. I have tried all the creams, getting more sleep, minimizing time watching TV and nothing helps. I think it is inherited. I live in Boston and know you practice in this area. Dear Dr. Seckel,I have broken blood vessels on my cheeks and at the corners of my nostrils. I am 45 live in Boston and am fair skinned of Irish descent. I also have noticed that my eyelids are puffy and the upper eyelid skin is starting to droop. I also have some loose skin beneath my neck. I have always looked young for my age and these changes seem to have occurred all of a sudden. I have read about the new laser treatments you offer. Thank you for your email. Broken blood vessels are often the very first sign of facial aging and are caused by the inflammation of the facial skin from the UV rays of the sun. Prevention of broken blood vessels with sun block, sun avoidance, and a topical vitamin C cream is important.
