Dear Dr. Seckel, I am 42 and have fair (Boston Irish) skin with some sun damage and fine wrinkles. I have used Retin A for years. I had a series of Fraxel treatments and the Fraxel did help remove pigment and improve my skin but I still have wrinkles. I have read that you use a laser called the 2940 for laser resurfacing. How is that laser different from the Fraxel. Thank you, Beth, Boston, Massachusetts

Both the Fraxel and the Lux2940 are fractional laser resurfacing machines. The big difference is that the Fraxel is a non ablative laser and the Lux2940 is a fractional ablative laser.
