Dear Dr. Seckel, I received a love-bite a year ago and there are still some purple/reddish marks of what I assume to be broken blood vessels under the skin. What options are available to remove this kind of mark on my neck? I’d prefer it was not surgical but if it’s the only option then ill have to consider it. Regards Paul, Sydney, NSW
Dear Paul,
The area you see is probably caused by broken capillaries or broken blood vessels-if it is then IPL or photo facial treatment or a 1064 yag laser treatmentshould correct it. If it is pigment left behind by a bruise, then a laser or IPL or Photo facial would work.
